The silhouette exterior clock is mounted directly to the wall of a structure without a surrounding case. With the wall surface as the background, dial markings and hands are cut from stainless steel, aluminum, or plastic materials.
As for lighting, this type of skeletal clock is typically illuminated with a spotlight so that the time is visible at all hours of the day. The clock markings and hands can also be illuminated from behind to cast a halo lighting effect to outline the clock face.
The clock movement is generally mounted inside the wall and connected to the exterior hands with the clock shaft. Skeletal clocks have very few size limitations, so you can make yours as big or as small as you like.
