We designed this four sided street clock in 2013, based on the famous Canadian steam clock. A steam boiler is installed in an underground control room to generate steam, and the controller drives steam emission every hour to provide the air needed to sound the whistle installed on top. This steam clock is a popular landmark, and attracts tourists every day as a fun display of public artwork.
The square streetscape clock is 6m high and 0.95m wide. There are also glass windows and decorations installed in the middle of the clock for an added decorative appearance.
